Um….no, no, no, no, and no. But that doesn’t stop the anti-Christians amongst us from continuing to promote that lie. Here is one response to such propaganda [emphasis mine]:
The New York Times claims that Romans 1 calls for the execution of gays. A Republican congressman read the passage at a committee hearing. I don’t know the congressman’s purpose, but it couldn’t be to call for the execution of gays because the passage doesn’t say that. And 2,000 years of Christian teaching has never taught that it does…
And here is a word from another Christian who actually understands Christian theology:
“Gay-bashing”, as it is called, in the sense of physically harming or killing sodomites, is completely contrary to the Word of God, and true Christians do not engage in such sinful behaviour.
You’d think that a two thousand year long history of teachings would be enough to set the record straight on this, but sadly, in this day and age, any slander against Christians seems to be permissible. May God have mercy on this country.
